This lamp has a moderate to high UVB output as seen in shady environments like rain forest. Reptiles living in these habitats receive less UV radiation because of the many elements that prevent direct sunlight from striking animals and their basking sites. The humidity in these locations is fairly high which filters out some of the UV rays. Weather conditions vary during the day, so there is less sunshine.
